Steps 7 + 8

Step 7

David’s job now is to associate the review status of his various course materials to this rule. To do so, he clicks the browse button, which launches a pop-up window. From there, he opens the various sub-folders until he finds the appropriate items. In his case, the first such item is the “Introduction to Fundamentals” document in the Lecture Notes folder. Once he finds it, he clicks on it, then clicks Submit. David has just added the first criteria to his rule.

Step 8

Unfortunately, Blackboard does not yet allow us to select multiple items at once. Therefore, David has to repeat Step 7 to apply each of the required readings as a specific rule criteria. Once he has added all twelve of his Fundamentals items to the rule, it looks like this:



Now, David’s students will only gain access to the required Fundamentals Quiz after they have reviewed all of the above items.
