CMS 220: Online@UT's Adaptive Release

Steps 3 + 4

Step 3

After clicking Manage, David is presented with several options: Adaptive Release, Adaptive Release: Advanced, Review Status, Adaptive Release and Review Status: User Progress, Statistics Tracking, and Metadata. Because David wants to release the Fundamentals Quiz only after his students have reviewed all of the course materials (including this “Introduction to Fundamentals”), he clicks on the third, Review Status.

There he is presented with one simple option: He “enables” review status.

David repeats this process for each of the items that he wants students to review before they gain access to the quiz.

NOTE: You can always check the review status of any particular item by viewing its folder within the Control Panel. For example, after David uploads all of his notes, the Lecture Notes sub-folder includes the following:

Step 4

Once all of the required readings (including Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, PDF files, and web pages) have been uploaded and their review status enabled, David creates the Fundamentals Quiz. He does so in the standard way then deploys it in the Fundamentals Content Area. Again, the addition of Adaptive Release does not become apparent until after David returns to the Fundamentals area through the control panel. There he finds the new Manage button and clicks on it.
