Capturing Digital Video with iMovie: Preparing to Import
Below is a step-by-step procedure for importing video from a Sony Digital Video Camera to an Apple Macintosh Computer Using iMovie 2.
1. Make sure that the Video Camera is on and set to the VTR mode. 2. Quit all other programs running on your computer. Launch iMovie 2 by clicking the appropriate shortcut icon. Imovie will open the last project that you worked on or it will launch a new project window if you haven't used the program yet.
Click the "New Project" button. It will bring up a window title "Create New Project" and will ask you to save it somewhere on your computer. See below
