Below is a step-by-step procedure for importing video from a Sony Digital Video Camera to an Apple Macintosh Computer Using iMovie
Before importing digital video from camera to computer, it is a good idea to get a brief overview of the equipment being used.
Wireless Remote Camcorder
Handheld video capturing device capable of exporting video in DV, RCA, and S Video format.
AC Power Adapter
Used to charge the video camera battery for portable use. When the battery is drained, the charger takes approximately 75 minutes to fully restore the battery.
Power Cord
This cable runs from AC outlet standard plug directly to the AC power adapter. This cable is needed in order to recharge your battery or to operate the camera directly form the AC outlet.
DV Cable (Firewire or IEEE 1394)
This cable runs from the video Camera to the computer.
