Digital Camera: Still Images
Recording Still Images
- Examine the buttons, sliders and switches on the camera to familiarize
yourself with how everything works. Gently press the “green” button
in while sliding the switch down to turn the camera on.
- Make sure there is a 3.5 inch diskette in the camera. A message "NO
DISK" will appear on the screen if you need to insert a disk.
To insert a disk, make sure that the metal part is first into the
camera and the metal circle is facing away from you. Insert until it clicks.
If you’ll be using a memory stick instead, slide the recording media selector from FD (floppy disk) to MS (memory stick). Open the memory stick panel and insert.
- Make sure the sliding switch PLAY / STILL / MOVIE is set in the middle
to STILL.
- Remove the lens cap. Frame your subject on the screen on the back of the
camera.
- Adjust the zoom from "W" (wide) to "T" (telephoto).
Look for the zoom control near the shutter button.
- Press the shutter button halfway down to set the focus and exposure.
Now press the shutter button down completely to take the picture.
- When finished taking photos, remember to power off and put the lens cap back on the camera lens. You may remove the floppy disk or memory stick once the camera is off. You remove the disk by pressing the switch button to the left and then down. Remove the memory stick by opening the “memory stick” panel and lightly pressing the stick further in to the left to release it.
Playing Back Still Images On the Camera:
- Set PLAY/STILL/MOVIE sliding switch to PLAY.
By pressing the arrows on the round control button, you can
move forward or backward through your photos. Press the entire
button to select.
- To delete an image, the selector must be in PLAY and the image must be displayed. Select DELETE and the OK from the menu.
On a Computer:
- Start up the personal computer and insert the floppy disk into the disk
drive of the personal computer.
- Open "My Computer" and double click the 3.5 inch
FD "A:" Drive.
- Double-click the desired data file.
Note: PCs must have Windows 3.1, Windows 95 or later, or Windows NT 3.51 or later to view the images on a personal computer.
