The Innovative Technology Center (ITC) sponsors the GTA@itc grant to provide professional development opportunities to Knoxville GTAs. Recipients of the grant either redesign a course or develop a course component for online delivery.
Two recent recipients of the 2004 grant are Kelly Price Rankin and Alla Kushniryk. In the fall, 2003 semester, these two GTAs developed the courses they would teach in the Spring, 2004 semester. Kelly Price Rankin developed an online component for her course, International Retailing, for the Department of Consumer Services Management in the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. Alla Kushniryk redesigned her course, Sociolinguistics and Discourse Analysis, for the Department of Communication Studies in the College of Communication and Information.
