Dr. Franklin has been at the University of Tennessee for a year and a half. She received her PhD in Forest Biology from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, and did her Post Doc at the University of Calgary.
She remembers the arrival of PowerPoint a few years ago, and the first wave of transition from slides and overheads to digital lecturing tools. Though she used PowerPoint in her presentations, she recalls being hesitant to immerse herself in tools that seemed so unreliable.
