The first thing one notices when discussing teaching and technology with Dr. Shu-Li Chen is her infectious enthusiasm. She speaks quickly, from the edge of her seat, and she smiles constantly. "I'm lucky," she laughs. "I have the greatest students." Dr. Chen joined the faculty of the College of Nursing in August, 1999 and has since taught both graduate and undergraduate courses, many of them pertaining to gerontology and nursing home issues, her main research interests. In 2001 she began moving parts of her courses online and is now something of a proselyte for online learning.
