Educational Technology,
Plant Sciences, and a DAWG

Dr. Bob Augé

Professor and Interim Department Head
Department of Plant Sciences

Dr. Bob Augé was an early volunteer. His earliest experience with web development came in 1996 when he was “volunteered” to create the department’s first website. A decade later, he has employed technology to enhance his teaching materials, extend his classroom, engage his students, and even develop a DAWG! Dr. Augé says he has continued on this path, in part, “because he has heard and is attempting to heed the advice to adopt modern learning approaches to more effectively engage the millennial student... and because it’s fun.”

Peruse the following pages to learn more about Dr. Augé’s past, current, and future projects, along with his approach to integrating teaching and research.
