Dr. Jamie Adcock
Department of Chemistry

Dr. Jamie Adcock has had an interest in chemicals and chemistry since her days as a young child, while viewing movies of the scientist in the lab with his bubbling beakers and flasks, brewing the latest concoction that could save or destroy mankind. While attending college, her research interests turned to fluorine chemistry because, she says, “I felt this was an area that was largely unexplored in terms of the chemistry, and because there were a lot of modern technologies available for research, I saw this area as an opportunity to go out on a new frontier with 'Star Trek-type' rather than 'horse and buggy-type' technology.”

A major contributor to the work done for Dr. Jamie Adcock was Pat Watson and
