Respondents to the 2008 Faculty Instructional Technology survey expressed that the potential of technology to enhance teaching and learning effectiveness and efficiency were some of the primary factors that “encouraged” or “strongly encouraged” them to use technology. The availability of appropriate technology was also a strong factor of encouragement.

iTunes U: We Made the List
The Innovative Technology Center is pleased to announce the addition of The University of Tennessee, Knoxville to the Apple iTunes U directory within the iTunes Store.
What does this mean for you? Once you have installed the iTunes software on your computer, any publicly available UTK courses, course content, and organizational content can be easily located through the list of participating universities in the iTunes U directory. Course sites and individual podcasts can also be located by using iTunes’ global search button. This level of visibility makes it easier for current and prospective students, peers, colleagues, and the public to find your podcasts.
Where do I find the iTunes U directory in iTunes?
1. Open iTunes
2. Click on “iTunes Store” in the iTunes navigational menu
3. Click on “iTunes U” within the "iTunes STORE" menu
4. Scroll down to the “FIND EDUCATION PROVIDERS” menu and click on “Universities & Colleges”
5. UTK is located under “T” for The University of Tennessee, Knoxville
