2:40 p.m. Dr. Janet KellyDr. Janet Kelly has recently begun supplementing her public financial management class with asynchronous content created using the collaboration tool LiveOnline@UT, powered by Saba Centra software. Using voice-over PowerPoint with other media, Dr. Kelly typically develops short (10-15 minute), topic-specific sessions that students can download and reveiw in preparation for class. With LiveOnline@UT, Dr. Kelly can prepare and record content when she is at her best, and her students can access it when they are ready to learn. This convinience also allows them to spend more class time on activities like case discussion or problem analysis.

3:20 p.m. Dr. Bob Auge’Dr. Bob Auge’ employs the use of multiple teaching and learning technologies in his Plant Sciences 448: Horticultural Internet Technology course. Dr. Auge’ uses Online@UT to manage most of his student assignments. Students submit their assignments in digital format. He is then able to view, download, grade, and provide feedback to students all within Online@UT. Dr. Auge’ also uses Captivate to record and post lecture material and demonstrations. Students have 24/7 access to the learning materials. Attend the showcase to learn more about his plans for using technology in his courses.
