2008 Call For Proposals

Faculty First

Have a great idea for one of your courses but don't have the time to develop it? The ITC invites applications from individual faculty members interested in receiving design and development assistance to reshape a course or course component to enhance the use of technology in the course delivery.

The primary focus of the Faculty First Program is development and technical assistance. You offer the ideas and serve as subject matter expert, and ITC staff will do the development for you, incorporating the appropriate technology into your course. We are especially interested in proposals that address the goals of the University's "Ready For The World" program. For further information about this program, please see: http://utk.edu/readyfortheworld/

For more information on the Faculty First program, read the full Call for Proposals on the web at: http://itc.utk.edu/grants/ff/

GTA@itc! GRANT

The Innovative Technology Center provides a GTA@itc! grant to any Graduate Teaching Assistants and Associates (GTAs) with sole responsibility for teaching a course, who are interested in expanding their teaching practice by redesigning a course or course component for Web-based delivery in Online@UT.

Grant recipients are paired with an ITC Graduate Assistant mentor to assist in the redesign and development of the GTA’s course or course component for online delivery. The ITC GA mentor assistance includes one-on-one instructional design consulting; Technology-Enhanced Classroom training; and consulting on the use of Online@UT features including communication, assessment, and evaluation. Recipients are also awarded $500 to be used for travel and professional development purposes.

Visit http://itc.utk.edu/grants/gta/to see how current and past recipients have enhanced their courses and to review the Spring GTA@itc! Call for Proposals.
