Calls for Proposals

GTA@itc! CFP

The ITC sponsors the GTA@itc! Mentoring Program to encourage Graduate Teaching Assistants to incorporate technology into their teaching. Each fall and spring semester, the ITC invites graduate teaching associates and assistants (GTAs), with sole responsibility for teaching a course during the following semester, to submit a proposal for the GTA@itc! Grant. In addition to mentoring, grant recipients receive a monetary incentive of $500 to purchase software, attend a professional conference, prepare a professional presentation or publication about integrating technology into a course, or use as a stipend.

GTA@itc! 2007 grant proposals are due Friday, January 9, 2007 by 5 p.m. Recipients will be notified on February 2, 2007. For the GTA@itc! 2007 Call for Proposals, visit http://itc.utk.edu/grants/. For more information, please contact Dr. Christina Goode (cgoode@utk.edu) or Harriette L. Spiegel (hspiegel@itc.utk.edu); tel. 974-9670.

Faculty First CFP

Have a great idea for one of your courses but don’t have the time to develop it? The ITC invites applications from individual faculty members interested in receiving design and development assistance to reshape a course or course component. The primary focus of the Faculty First Program is development and technical assistance. You offer the ideas and serve as subject matter expert, and the ITC staff does the development for you. If you would like to talk through your ideas, you can schedule a one-on-one consultation with an ITC staff member before submitting your proposal.

Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2007. Recipients will be notified by February 9, 2007.
