OIT Debuts Faculty Research Database
Only through the efforts of its faculty can the university achieve the goal of being a premier research institution. To assist researchers in attaining that goal, the Office of Information Technology wants to raise faculty awareness of IT-related resources available to them on campus.
With that in mind, Dr. Joanne Logan and the Innovative Technology Center put together the IT Support for Faculty Research Database to provide “one-stop shopping” for faculty: they can visit one Web site to learn about and take advantage of any and all technological solutions offered on campus.
The site’s comprehensive search form allows a faculty researcher to pinpoint just the right campus resource to assist in a broad variety of technological needs.
After you explore the database, we also invite you to read Dr. Logan’s report, “Building Better Bridges: OIT Engaging UTK Scholars.” This report offers a comparison of UT’s resources with those of other top-ranked universities, investigates faculty needs for and awareness of the resources available to them, and offers recommendations for growing UT’s IT-related resources for research.
