Students and faculty are getting STARTed in January 2004!

by: Jerry Riehl

The ITC’s Student Technology Assistants for Research and Teaching (START) Program is an elite group of students, selected and trained by the Innovative Technology Center. Under the leadership of the START Program Coordinator, this group of students will be prepared to assist faculty with the creation of computer-based course materials and provide faculty with technical support to enhance courses taught on the Knoxville campus.

Examples of materials that students can help you with include:

  • PowerPoint presentations
  • Online@UT (Blackboard) course sites
  • Web-based tutorials and resources
  • Digital audio, video and/or images
  • Instructional PDFs
  • Electronic documents that are fully accessible to those with disabilities

This service is scheduled to begin March 1, 2004. Faculty and instructors are encouraged to submit requests at any time, as requests will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.
