Meeting Today's Academic Needs with Instructional Technology

by: Dr. Christina Goode and Dr. Julie Little

Each year, UT faculty structure their courses to meet one academic need or another: general education requirements, implementing course interactivity and engagement, addressing the needs of incoming students, etc., in order to remain competitive in the higher educational arena. Using instructional technology appropriately can help you meet these needs. Whether you’re trying to 1) build your students’ basic skills in acquiring, evaluating, and using information via writing, discussion, and critical thinking activities, 2) help your students develop broadened perspectives by providing opportunities for communication and collaboration to support the diversity of personal and cultural values, or 3) provide anytime, anywhere access to learning, the ITC can help with all your IT needs.
