Faculty Fellow Program: Seeking Applicants

The Innovative Technology Center is pleased to announce the ITC Faculty Fellow Program. The Faculty Fellow Program will assist in ITC's mission of advancing exemplary teaching and enriching the experience of students by providing UT's learning communities the support and resources to attain educational excellence through the appropriate use of technology. Two Faculty Fellows will be funded.

Faculty Fellow responsibilities will include:
  • Become a liaison for faculty discussion and input regarding instructional technology services by:
    • Holding information chats with colleagues (face-to-face or online)
    • Facilitating roundtable discussions
    • Conducting faculty focus groups
    • Identifying opportunities for conducting research with faculty
      involved in technology integration endeavors
  • Develop and facilitate professional development opportunities for colleagues
  • Research topics for seminars and workshops
  • Help improve the ITC's services and activities

Fellows will devote approximately ten hours per week working with the ITC during the fall and spring semesters and will meet periodically with appropriate ITC staff to exchange ideas. In addition to a general orientation to how ITC programs and services are managed, Fellows will have an opportunity to customize their term based on their expertise and area(s) of interest, i.e. instructional design for online learning, development of media-enhanced instructional materials, research on a discipline specific use of technology, etc.

Faculty Fellows will receive one course release in both fall and spring semester (or a combination of course release and research/travel funds equivalent to a course release) and will serve as a fellow for one academic year (Ten hours per week from August 17, 2009 until April 30, 2010).
