SMART Board and Sympodium - Similarities and Differences

Both SMART Board and SMART Sympodium function similarly. They can be connected to a computer and a data projector. With the SMART software, they become touch-sensitive. Tapping on the screen is equivalent to a click with your mouse. Following is a list of similarities between SMART Board and SMART Sympodium.

Both of these systems:
  • Share laptop's screen with students
  • Open folders, start applications, follow links (full control of your PC)
  • With designated stylus or pens, allow creation of annotations on the screen
  • Capture the whole or portions of screen
  • Export screen captures to HTML, PDF, or an image file
