Showcase Overview
The Innovative Technology Center (ITC) plans to recognize excellence in using technology to support teaching and learning at the University of Tennessee by presenting the Best Practices@UT2002 Showcase. By highlighting twelve examples of "best practice," the showcase will enable members of the UT academic community to exchange ideas and view model examples of instructional technology use at its best.

When is the Showcase

The Showcase will be held on September 23, 2002, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. EST, at the University Center on the Knoxville campus, in conjunction with the Fall Computer Fair. The Showcase enables the UT Community to see the latest technologies and best practices used by academic teaching staff to support teaching and learning with technology.

The twelve showcase participants will demonstrate their best practices that highlight how to:
  • Make your job as an instructor easier
  • Help students learn better Support academic assessment
  • Encourage more student participation via electronic communication
  • Help students become self-directed learners
  • Use technology across the curriculum
  • Enhance total student development
